SafeSpace Inc, a Port St. Lucie-based domestic violence agency, is planning to ask for the City Council's approval to build a new 4,647-square foot building in the city.
SafeSpace's original shelter was destroyed in the last hurricanes of 2004 and has been renting a staff house ever since to keep their operations going.
