Full Description:
Join Unity Center of Vero Beach on April 1 at 9:30 and 11 a.m. for guest speaker Rev. James Trapp, president and CEO of the Association of Unity Churches International.
Under his leaadership, Unity on the Bay in Miami grew from an average Sunday attendance of 125 to more than 1,300 with two services in English and one in Spanish.
In addition to graduating from Unity School for Religious Studies, Rev. Trapp holds
degrees in economics from Princeton University, a law degree from the University
of Florida and an honorary doctorate in sacred theology from the Florida Theological
Seminary.
He participated in the 2004 Parliament of the World's Religions in Barcelona, Spain. The goal was to help foster mutual understanding and respect among the religious and spiritual traditions of the world. James was also one of a select number of spiritual leaders and representatives from various spiritual traditions that met in Montserrat, Spain, to develop and enact practical and transformative responses to critical world issues to help create peace on the planet.
Rev. Trapp's personal mission is to serve as a catalyst to help people fulfill their personal and spiritual potential.
Our special musical guest is a perfect example of someone who has fulfilled her personal and spiritual potential.
Jana Stanfield is a multi-platinum selling, award-winning songwriter who will be
making her only Florida appearance at Unity of Vero.
With the motto, "Start Small, Dream Big, Live Large," Stanfield started a record company in 1991. Her work ethic, marketing skills and business savvy turned
Relatively Famous Records into one of the most successful businesses of its kind.
Jack Canfield, of Chicken Soup for the Soul Enterprises, recently highlighted Jana
as "one of the world's top achievers" in his most recent best seller, "The Success Principles."
Her music has been described as "Heavy MeNtal" or "psychotherapy you can dance to." Songs such as "What Would I Do Today if I Were Brave?" and "If I Had Only Known," and others have raised money for many charitable organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and St. Jude's Children's
Hospital. This year marks the release of Jana's live recording from Carnegie Hall, a project that will support the launch of her latest humanitarian effort, the Women Helping Women Help the World tour.
Unity Center of Vero Beach is located at 950 43rd Ave. Visit the Web site for further
